This was painted in response to the media, the news and the right wing press interrupting and gagging Diane Abbott. I don’t believe I have painted Diane Abbott but perhaps all black women. I mentored mainly black women over 12 years and I have always been very saddened of their stories of oppression and discrimination, so this is a stand against all the people - especially those who shut down the neurodivergent community and women.
