Make space for your art practice in a ND led and accessible space

21 oct 2023

About this event

Magical Women presents… Making Space for Art and Writing (part of the Making Space for Art series.)

This workshop is open to autistic/ADHD women and non binary artists and writers who would like to commune with other artists and writers and have space and time to make art (or write!)

When you enter the space, we’ll go straight into art-making for 45minutes. You can work on a continuing project or you can begin on something from scratch or you can explore using a theme that Elinor, workshop facilitator, will provide for you. It’s entirely open and free-flowing.

After 45 minutes, we’ll open for a share. During this sharing we’ll share our writing or artwork (where ever we are in the journey, nothing needs to be finished) and we invite participants to comment in the chat in response to what they’re hearing or seeing.

Participants can have their cameras off during the art-making process but we invite cameras on if participants want to share their art.

Participants are also invited into a ritual of autistic friendly deep breathing and visualisation ending with a mantra to take away with you for your art practice throughout the week.

Please note, the facilitator is autistic themselves.
