MEG PEPPIN: THE THINKING ENVIRONMENT

18 dec 2023
27 feb 2024

Learn how to truly think for yourselves and to create an environment where others can do their best independent thinking.

About this event

Part of the MW’s CPD for Neurodivergent Artists & Creatives! collection

Workshop

Meg’s workshops will introduce participants to the notion and practices of The Thinking Environment, work pioneered by Nancy Kline which has been personally and professionally transformative for so many people.

The workshop will help participants to learn how to truly think for themselves and to create an environment where others can do their best independent thinking. Attention from one person produces fresh thinking in another. The quality of what we do and what we create is based on the quality of our thinking.

The teaching of the Thinking Environment is experiential; a shared experience of thinking and conversing together, where the findings and way of being in this work are gently explored.

Biography

Meg Peppin established MP Partnership in 2003 having worked for many years in corporate life in a range of Organisational Development and Customer Service roles. Meg has an MSc in Organisational Consulting, is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, part of their faculty teaching Organisation Development and Design and active in mentoring other consultants and OD/HR people.

Meg’s work in organisations focuses on building quality relationships and quality thinking to create energised and pro-active teams and cultures. Her mission is to create workplaces where people can flourish so great results can be achieved. Creating the conditions for people to flourish needs people at all levels to trust each other. This enables individuals and groups to do their best thinking, which generates solutions that are unique and relevant to their organisation. Meg’s work is influenced by all the people she has met throughout life, and in particular Nancy Kline, whose work is focused on creating the conditions for people to do their best independent thinking.
