A neurodivergent, queer artist

mixed media artist

Bio

Carrie Ravenscroft (she/her) is a mixed media artist from London. She creates colourful, emotionally driven work deriving from her experience of being neurodivergent, in particular adjusting to late diagnosis and reframing life within this context. Carrie draws inspiration from psychotherapy and themes of connection, separation and layering.

Why Magical Women is important:

I imagine that growing up isolated/excluded is a common part of life for many neurodivergent girls. Finding a sense of community and belonging, even if it’s just online, can be a huge part of healing those wounds we have experienced. Connecting with others; sharing our stories and using art to communicate what we might find difficult to talk about is like whilst creating a safe environment for younger people to see there is hope and that they are not alone
