Bio

I’m Annabel, a working-class photographer and Graphic Designer in East London, originally hailing from Weymouth. For years I found inspiration in the Fashion and Art magazines I could get a hold of in my hometown (there weren’t many!), and as the years went by I found inspiration in older films, especially old Black and White Horror films, and colourful 70’s thrillers. I like to create things that have a use- portraiture for people, or graphics for companies. I like doing things for arts sakes, but I’m always someone who needs there to be a specific output or reason for it.My work is for whoever needs it, or will make use of it, I’ve always seen myself as a vessel for others; what someone needs, I translate into art.

Artist Statement 

 Based in East London, I’m a freelance Photographer and Graphic Designer who has been shooting for over 10 years, capturing stripped back portraiture for Business Leaders, Influencers and Celebrities. For the past 2 years I’ve also been the Designer for a London PR & Comms agency. Graduated from the University of the Creative Arts Epsom, with a BA in Fashion Promotion & Imaging

Why MW is important

Working with Magical Women was an incredible experience and it was a pleasure to design for such a brilliant arts project that gave me agency and made me feel like they trusted me to bring their projects (Publication 1) and Communication Cards. Elinor is so wonderful to work with, she really listens, contemplates and engages me in the creative and design process.
